Vegan Care taker / Live in manager
As Live-in Manager, you will be responsible for much of the day to day management of the retreat centre and guest house.
You would be required to be onsite and available to guests, retreat facilitators and retreat groups most weekends, with some time off during the week.
You will enjoy interaction with people, perhaps seeing service as part of your spiritual practice.
The position comes with accommodation provided, and includes the occasional invitation to participate in retreat activities. You will have a degree of time management and creative freedom to introducing new ideas to enhance the growth of the retreat centre.

Previous Experience
We do not have a fixed idea of what your previous experience or work background would be in order to fill this position.
However, experience in hospitality, preferably as a supervisor or manager is desirable, but not essential. Computer skills, especially in the area of web development or graphic design would also be greatly appreciated. Maintenance and building experience would also be useful.

Hepburn Retreat Centre
Volunteer Positions
We are always looking for people who can help with the retreat centre's myriad administration, marketing and maintenance tasks and projects. This work is not paid, but is offered in exchange for accommodation, vegan banquets or for attendance at a retreat or training.
We are looking currently for people to help us in the following areas:
web development
If you have web development skills, particularly experience with Wordpress or PHP, we would love to have your help in transferring the current retreat centre website to the Wordpress platform.
website content management
If you have experience with Wordpress, or are highly computer literate with good Word skills, please contact us.
graphic design
We are always needing web banners and flyers designed for upcoming retreats and events.

building & Maintenance
The upkeep and maintenance of the retreat centre is an ongoing labour of love. Always a small roof-leak to fix or worn washer to replace.
As well as the ongoing maintenance, there is always new projects, adding extra accommodation or sprucing up an existing room.

gardening
If you enjoy time out in the garden, come and spend a few days away from the city in communion with the plants and birds.
